Talk about a dealership that knows how to have a good time.  On Sunday, May 17^th, MINI of Peabody raises the stakes at their 4^th annual Poker Rally.  The loyal customer fan base at MINI of Peabody has been waiting all year long for this popular event. This year, the event moved from its usual first Sunday in May to the 3^rd weekend as the dealership just celebrated the launch of the 2009 MINI Cooper convertible.

 The MINI Poker Rally is an event for all ages and no experience is necessary to participate.  Owners (and their co-pilots) meet and greet one another at the dealership around 9:00am and then line up to begin a 1.5 hour route along the scenic north shore of Massachusetts.  Every car is given a map just in case and then set out on the course.  Along their route, there are 5 designated stops where a MINI of Peabody employee gives out a playing card to each car that passes through.  Every year brings a different route which makes the event a true surprise to even the most experience “rally-er.”

 At the end of the route, each car returns with 5 playing cards and challenges one another for the best poker hand.  Prizes are given out to the best hands and then all guests enjoy a fully catered barbecue.

 ”Every year we see a big turnout and every year it pours! But our customers are road warriors…a little bit of rain isn’t going to stop them,” says MINI of Peabody event coordinator Lori Connolly.

 The event, which is limited to the first 100 MINI cars just about, filled up within the first day after the email hit customer’s inboxes.

This is coordinated by the BMW Car Club.  There is an Autocross set up with timed runs and prizes for fastest time.

Participants learn advanced driver skills school featuring braking and handling instruction and performance tips from MINI experts.  BBQ, prizes and gifts for all attendees.

 Launch Parties

MINI of Peabody has become known for the their new model introductions.. For the 2008 release of the MINI Clubman “Club MINI” opened its doors to all MINI of Peabody guests.  A “fashion show” featuring all MINI models driven by our motoring advisors was set up for all the minis to cruise down the runway

This year MINI will hold a launch for the R57.

 Rallies

Every year MINI of Peabody puts on at least one rally for their customers.  Poker rallies, where each MINI makes stops along the way to pick up a card have been very popular.  Guests all meet back at the store for food, entertainment and prizes.  “Best hand” wins!
