For the second year in a row, famed boston MINI Cooper dealer, MINI of Peabody, is extending their charitable contributions to the MINI community. On Saturday, June 26th, over 200 MINI owners and their guests attending MINIs on Top will be sitting down for a fully catered breakfast sponsored by the Massachusetts MINI Cooper dealership.
Last year, owners feasted on a buffet complete with eggs, bacon, sausage, muffins, pancakes, coffees, teas and juices. The breakfast was held at the Attitash Grand Summit Hotel which is considered the “central gathering area” for MINIs on Top guests.
MINI’s on Top is the annual MINI meeting place for owners across the northeast. The event starts on Friday, June 25th and concludes with a picturesque drive to the top of Mount Washington on Saturday, June 26th. Not only is MINIs on Top a fun and unique experience, but the annual event raises thousands of dollars for charities including the Make a Wish Foundation.
“We are extremely excited for the opportunity to sponsor the breakfast for second year straight. We want to give 100% back to the MINI community and this is the perfect opportunity to show them how much we, as a dealership care,” says Lori Connolly, MINI of Peabody’s Marketing Director.
Many activities surrounding the annual gathering include a Friday night ice cream social, MINI Trivia, a boot sale, photo scavenger hunt and MINI car show. Every mini-event that takes place at MINIs on Top is organized solely by volunteers & MINI enthusiasts.

MINI of Peabody is anticipating an initial shipment of MINI Cooper Countryman vehicles this fall. The MINI Countryman is a small SUV that is almost 16 inches longer than the popular original Mini Cooper, giving Massachusetts families more room and reason to love their MINI.
Massachusetts MINI shoppers will find the base and S Countryman models to offer plenty of power and excitement. The base model has a 120-horsepower 1.6-liter four cylinder engine, while the sportier Countryman S adds turbo-charging and direct fuel injection for a maximum of 180 horsepower. Both are available with a six-speed manual or automatic transmission.
The Countryman will be a true SUV in terms of handling and safety features. Front-wheel-drive will be standard on all Countryman models and MINI will also offer a version called ALL4 that will come standard with all-wheel-drive.
The seating position of the driver is slightly higher in the Countryman than that of a standard MINI Cooper, which may aid in access and visibility. MINI describes the interior as “typical of the brand,” suggesting snug quarters and quirky controls.
The MINI Countryman’s bucket seat model features a “central rail” that runs the entire length of the interior. It is designed to hold specially-designed clip in elements, such as cup holders and storage boxes for MP3 players or cell phones. Driver-selectable colored ambient lighting just one way Boston MINI shoppers can customize their Countryman to reflect their individual style.
The MINI Countryman promises to live up to larger expectations, offering four seats, with a three-person second-row bench available at no additional cost. Each of the rear seats slide back and forth more than five inches for added legroom or cargo space. The rear seats also fold flat for carrying long cargo. That back seat is a split-folding design, and cargo capacity jumps from 350 to 1,170 liters (12.2–41.0 cu ft) when it’s down.
The Countryman will debut this fall at MINI of Peabody in Massachusetts. Boston MINI Cooper shoppers can keep up to date with news about the impending debut of the Countryman at http://www.minipeabody.com.

MINI of Peabody in Massachusetts has just been named by MINI USA as the 2009 National Motoring Cup Award winner. Only 1 dealership nationwide receives this coveted honor.
The MINI Motoring Cup Award recognizes the MINI Cooper dealer with the highest sales and highest customer satisfaction. Only the top dealer in the U.S. to exceed in both of these categories as well as those who excel in MINI parts and accessories sales can earn this coveted Cup.
Warren Waugh is the managing partner of MINI of Peabody and is thrilled to display the motoring cup trophy for all customers and staff to see. “It’s an honor to be recognized for doing things we consider to be a normal part of our everyday culture here at MINI of Peabody,” says Waugh.
The Boston MINI Cooper dealer is no stranger to the limelight. Since 2002, MINI of Peabody has been a stand-out dealer being recognized by both MINI USA and their customers. In 2009, the dealership displayed outstanding sales yet again and a MINI of Peabody sales professional was recognized as one of the top sales people in the nation and was rewarded MINI USA’s most coveted honor, the Achievements in Motoring award (AIM).
From the beginning, MINI of Peabody set out to ensure that purchasing a MINI Cooper was as fun and enjoyable as driving one. General Manager Marshal Cabot is proud to have won an award which embodies just that. Cabot added, “Making the dealership a fun and pleasant place to purchase a car is our #1 goal. Taking home the Motoring Cup Award for our staff means that we were able to do just that.”
